In diesem FAQ Artikel beschreiben wir, was bei einem Wechsel von Classic Hosting auf cPanel Hosting zu beachten ist und welche Aktionen notwendig sind.

Wichtig: Die Umstellung erfolgt nicht automatisch über einen Tarifwechsel im KIS. Es handelt sich um zwei unterschiedliche Hosting Plattformen.Es sind daher kundenseitige manuelle Arbeiten/Aktionen notwendig.

1. Das passende cPanel Paket muss parallel zum Classic Hosting Paket bestellt werden. Der Support berät Sie hier gern bezüglich des passenden Pakets und nimmt die Bestellung für Sie vor.
2. Die Dateien aus dem Webspace müssen transferiert werden. Dies ist mittels eines FTP Programms möglich. Hierzu muss vorab im cPanel Paket der FTP Zugang angelegt werden.
3. Die Datenbank müssen exportiert und importiert werden. Hierzu müssen im cPanel Paket vorab leere Datenbanken und Zugangsdaten dafür (Datenbankbenutzer sowie Passwort) angelegt werden.
4. Vorhandene SSL Zertifikate sollten nun eingebunden werden.
5. Die Skripte und Webanwendungen müssen hinsichtlich Hostnamen sowie Datenbankzugangsdaten aktualisiert werden. Wenn Sie die nicht vornehmen können, wenden Sie sich bitte an den Entwickler des Skripts oder an Ihren Administrator.
6. Die E-Mails müssen ebenfalls migriert werden. Die aktuellen cPanel Pakete (ab dem 30.08.2023) haben Professional E-Mail als E-Mail-Lösung inkludiert. Vor der Migration legen Sie bitte die E-Mail-Adressen fest und danach können Sie mittels des kostenpflichtigen E-Mail-Umzugs Dienst Audriga Ihre E-Mails umziehen. Dieser ist buchbar über das KIS unter "Produktverwaltung - Produktbestellung - sonstiges Services - E-Mails, Kontakte und Termine umziehen". --> Wir übernehmen diesen Service auch gern für Sie gegen eine Servicegebühr. Sprechen Sie den Support gern an.
7. Sofern Sie Ihre Domains bei uns hosten, muss keine Domain umgezogen werden. Hier ist es ausreichend, wenn die DNS Einstellungen auf die neuen Produkte (cPanel und Professional E-Mail) geändert werden. Falls Sie externe Domains verwenden, müssen Sie die DNS-Einträge bei dem Verwalter Ihrer Nameserver anpassen. Die notwendigen Einstellungen werden Ihnen bei der Einrichtung Ihrer Domain im neuen Produkt (cPanel und Professional E-Mail) angezeigt.

Diese Aktionen sind kundenseitig vorzunehmen, um ein Classic Hosting Paket auf cPanel Hosting umzustellen. How can I move my data from Classic Hosting to cPanel Hosting?

In this FAQ article we describe, what to consider when changing from Classic Hosting to cPanel Hosting and what actions are necessary.

Important: The change does not automatically occur with a contract change inside the KIS. These are two different hosting platforms. Manual work/actions are therefore required on the customer side.

1. The suitable package must be ordered in parallel with the classic hosting package. The Support will be happy to advise you on the appropriate package and place the order for you.
2. The files from the web space must be transferred. This is possible by using an FTP program. To do this, the FTP access must be created in advance in the cPanel package.
3. The databases have to be exported and then imported. To do this, empty databases and access data for them (database user and password) must be created in advance in the cPanel package.
4. Existing SSL certificates can then be installed.
5. The scripts and web applications must be updated in terms of host names as well as database access data. If you are unable to do this, please contact the developer of the script or your administrator.
6. The e-mails also have to be migrated. The current cPanel packages (starting from 30.08.2023) have Professional E-Mail as an e-mail solution included. Before migration, please set the email addresses and afterwards via the paid email migration service Audriga, you can migrate your e-mails . It can be ordered via the KIS under "Product Admin - Product ordering - additional Services - E-Mails, Kontakte und Termine umziehen". --> We are also happy to perform this service for you for a service fee. Feel free to contact the support about that.
7. If you host your domains with us, no domain needs to be transferred. Here it is sufficient to change the DNS settings to the new products (cPanel and Professional E-Mail). If you use external domains, you have to adjust the DNS entries at the administration of your name servers. The necessary settings will be displayed when you set up your domain in the new product(cPanel and Professional E-Mail).

These actions are to be taken by the customer, to migrate a Classic Hosting package to a cPanel Hosting package.
